Primary Spanish for Kids

(divided into lower and upper sections by age, roughly 6-9 and 10-12)

For elementary/middle kids during those years when language is so easily absorbed.

Tuesday Mornings in Johnson

10 week course each term | $ 200 per term

Class Description:

Young ones learn language in a comprehensible input style with stories, crafts, and, song. Parents may notice their kids using Spanish at home and sharing with family. Fall 2025 and Spring 2026: Fairy Tale theme

No official homework!

Ages 15-18

Spanish I (1st year) with possible option for Spanish II (2nd year) if enough students want to continue and my schedule permits

For mature high school students who have developed scholarly habits, including those who have studied Latin, and are eager to apply study skills to Spanish.

Tuesdays 1-2:30 PM in Johnson

28 week course | $ 700

Class Description:

High school students follow a course that emphasizes spoken language, with ample attention given to grammar and vocabulary.

Class time will be spent in conversation with guided models and note-taking for grammar.

Homework will review the models from class with reading, writing, listening, and speaking, Emphasis will be given to standard forms with mention of local immigrant living language forms. 

Commitment to personal study and work completion at home is critical to success in this course.

Ages 13+

Intro to Spanish for Jr. High and Up

For the junior high or high school student getting started with Spanish and as a testing-the-waters scenario for potential further study.

14 week course | $ 300

Class Description:

Learn basic structures with lots of games to practice vocab. Students will be offered the chance to appreciate the varied history and culture that inform the modern Spanish speaker. 

Minimal guided homework is required.
